Guessing that's the pier by Hearst Castle? I walked it with my wife and remember there being tons of kelp growing just off the pier.

Right ateo, it's the one just below Hearst Castle. Hearst built it to unload all his stuff from Europe.

Great shots Ken. FYI, the cove at San Simeon used to provide a secluded place for rum runners during prohibition.
