1995 35ft. SOUTHWIND CLASS A MOTORHOME - THIS ROAD WARRIOR IS LOADED!
Like the prez says…it’s time for a CHANGE….so… I am buying a new fifth wheel with all options …and...
...I'M SELLING MY 1995 SOUTHWIND 35’ CLASS A MOTORHOME - IT HAS BEEN WELL CARED FOR AND IS READY TO GO CAMPING & TOURING THE CONTINENT...AGAIN.
I TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF MY EQUIPMENT.
No slides. This is a WIDE-BODY MODEL. Makes it feel like it has slides, but it does not.
35 foot 1995 Fleetwood South Wind. Spacious, sleeps six. Nice features, Private master suite with queen sized bed and hollywood bath with tub &
shower. Kitchen with gas stove, microwave, instant heat water tap, and dual refrigerator (runs on electricity and propane) dining area, living area
with sofa & captains chairs. TVs work great; both rooftop antenna, sat. dish, and DVD player. Replaced the roof, new transmission, new generator.
Two air conditioning units and two furnaces (front & back).
New 10-ply tires, new brakes, rotors, discs, and batteries in November, 2011
Meticulously maintained 7.5 CID fuel injected 460 Ford engine that still runs smooth as silk..EVEN after 118,000 easy miles. Don’t let the high
mileage worry you…it is in good mechanical condition…and I would not hesitate to drive it from Baja to Alaska …which I might do if it does not sell!
Automatic transmission with overdrive & cruise..new in '08 and also maintained regulary.
It has about every option you can load into it...and these features as follows:
Onan Gold 5500 gas generator….low hours…regularly serviced…runs perfect for all appliances, 2 ACs, etc.

It is also a basement model…meaning lots of underneath storage…lockable compartments with spring-loaded hinges (new)
Still a very handsome coach. All sides are relatively free of dings and damage…but, it has been down the road…and back...so don’t expect it to be
in showroom condition. I have used it well , but have taken good care of it at all times.
Note: I will gladly discuss any faults I know about this coach and my recommendations on what needs updating or fixing. A fault of mine is being
honest during a horsetrade.

This model has an aft queen walkaround bed….note: queen not included.
The fridge works both 110V and 12volt..and keeps champagne and beer a perfect temperature.
The unit drives like a dream and is very maneuverable for getting into state parks, etc..almost anywhere you want to camp.
If the urge hits you..andiamo!... just pull over and camp….presto!
The shower stall is large enough for me...and should be okay for anyone…two is a comfy squeeze. 
Los Banos is very roomy, ducted to outside, well-lighted, has large medicine cab, and has a reading light.
Large and very comfy queen size bed….with lots of storage underneath. Of many beds that I have owned I will always remember this one as one of the
most relaxing and cozy beyond description. There is something magical, perhaps?
110 and 12v tv in overhead cabinet, plus AM/FM stereo controls over bed. All you need is a pizza!
Did I mention storage? LOTS OF IT? They call these types ‘basement’ models for a good reason.
Your Co-pilot can drive this rig with ease and safety.
This sofa folds down to make a cozy double bed.
The galley…where you spend the most time… if you are like me.
The Onan Gold 5.5KW gas generator runs off the main tank…no need to fill with propane and worry about getting fuel. Automatic shut-down safety
features for low gas, low oil, temp, etc. Runs almost too well..never had any problems whatsoever and will run both AC’s, plus micro, toaster, &
hair dryers!!
Rear roof access ladder is handy for roof workers.
This Oregon Coast photo shows the handy cargo carrier on rear…fits into receiver hitch, same as with the boat.
Coach interior is roomy enough for all events..even a lap dance.
But not from this dude….ugh.
The coach has all the accomodations necessary for easy living while sightseeing America. Enjoy the trip!
Roof top access is very easy ….for whatever reasons?
Pulls a heavy fiberglass boat with ease…has heavy duty frame hitch with light/brake electric plug-in.
We almost never had messy kids inside….

Hey Roger, sounds like a great deal! I think a picture book covering the shenanigans that have taken place in that rig would be a better seller but
who knows?  
As the owner of a similar rig, what does your gas mileage run, towing and not? Have you needed to replace the commode or the rubber roof yet?

Quick question: How and where is it titled? What would be the proper process to drive it through Baja and in to the USofA....title, license, insurance
and whatever other processes apply.
BTW, I really enjoy the different models of your models. Does that shower come equipped as pictured?

Hey, El Camote...coincidentely, a book similar to your suggestion is in the works as a summer project, with certain characters on hand to add input.
The mpg sucks...as you can well imagine. Like the old yacht question/answer goes.."If you have to ask, you can't afford it"
Seriously and Actually, you CAN ask..and you can afford it. Figure 5-6 mpg pulling a trailer and a max of 8-10 during your best-ever mpg. You have
to think of it as a luxury resort vacation on wheels... and compare costs thusly...far cheaper to take this coach and it's comforts.
I posted a thread a while ago on some repairs I had made to the coach..the comode for one...done deal and works like a charm. I know cuz I just used
it this morning. The rubber roof does not leak now, but it did when the tree fell on it a few years ago. A complete repair was done. Last summer
was spent in monsoons on the shores of Lake of the Woods, Mn..rain, rain, rain...no water came inside, except from the dripping labrador my buddy
brought aboard.

Titled and licensed in South Dakota..the best for all kinds of reasons. Easily transferred as far as licensing/title goes. Through America's Mailox,
etc. You buy your own insurance naturally. Cheaper in SD, too.
Sorry, but if you want your shower equipped like mine.. you must manage that yourself!

Pompano, Sell all that stuff. Get a sail boat(ketch) and do it. Sail to Hawaii and all points east, west, north, and south. Keep us posted.

and here's some history for you..My motorhome today is a far cry from what my Dad first built for his bride, Mom..'back in the day' of the Dirty
Thirties.
Dad built this camper as their home away from home..while he was working as a powder-monkey in the coal mines of western ND...good pay, & a good
chance of getting blown away, too.
