Sign up for the SENTRI Pass & Trusted Traveler Program
When I went for my interview for my Sentri pass last year I was asked if I wanted in the Trusted Traveler Program so I signed up. They activated my
Passport during the interview. I have traveled several times internationally since then and it works very well. Last week I came in through JFK and
bypassed over 100 people standing in line and went right to the kiosk. Within 45 seconds I had my receipt and was on my way to baggage claim. After
claiming my bag I headed to the exit, gave the CBP Officer my receipt and was on my way. You don't have to fill out the Customs Declaration form
anymore as you are asked several of those questions at the kiosk.
I highly recommend that you sign up for this program. Also, several Airlines - American and Delta you can post your ID number and they pass it along
to TSA and some airports you can go through the lane for Trusted Traveler. You don't have to take out computers, take off you shoes, belt, coat, nor
take you liquids out of your carry on as long as they are in the quart-size baggie.

Just a side note to that, when I filled out the renewal on line for my Sentri, it asked me if I wanted to sign up for both, and I did and when I
finished the application, I was charged $100.00, instead of the $25.00 everyone else was charged. When we went in for our appointment, the Officer
told me and my wife since we signed up for both programs at the same time our total cost was $100.00 not $125.00, so we each saved $25.00 and got both
programs.

Just an FYI for Mac users. Sentri's system doesn't like Macs. Tried to renew yesterday and could only fill out renewal form then went to an error
page. Called the help desk and was told to remove all cookies, history and cache and try again. Did as instructed only to have the same error notice
pop-up. Called again and was told that we needed to find a PC to start renewal process as Sentri does not work with Macs - more specifically with the
Safari browser.

agree the "elite" level of of papers get's you to front of line first, and sure makes life easier. i do think it creates a class system that has ugly
appearance to some,... but such is life in the airport or land border,... you need elite status in frequent flyer program, you need elite status in
citizenship paperwork, and helps to be WASPy in appearance, and tall, and thin, and rich
i pity the infrequent traveler, all the ch1t roles down hill onto them
