Storm leaves snow in San Diego local mtns.

Yesterday we went for a day trip to see our local mtns. covered in snow. Only a handful of days each year see this much snow locally.

Pine Valley

Lake Cuyamaca

our Subaru is in its element in the snow

Today I-8 is closed in both directions (at the Willow Road/Viejas area) due to 6 inches of ice on the roadway. You don't see that in San Diego often.

Beautiful pictures and you're right, not every year does the snow fall in SD mtns or does the Interstate get closed because of snow. Our cabin at Palomar is 5000 ft in elevation and covered in white! Thanks for posting. Tio

Nice pix and nice car. That car will go almost anywhere. :D

We thought about driving up there but have too many appointments here right now. Dang, by the time we get there, the snow will probably be gone.

My favorite is the one with the boats! Thanks.

My daughter headed up to Cuyamaca today for 6th grade camp. I believe there was about a 4 hour delay before they even left the school because of the snow.

woody,

Darn those dust specs, I guess it's time to clean the sensor on the Nikon.;)

Diane,

There was 8" of snow on the ground walking out to the boat dock to get that shot.
