Tequila radio show in Las Vegas to feature Baja California

(Yeah, maybe this should be posted under Baja Events or Non Baja Trips, I couldn't figure it out.)

Las Vegas, NV, May 1, 2012 - "Celebrate Cinco de Mayo early while tasting a little tequila with Baja California Secretary of Tourism Juan Tintos and former Mayor of Rosarito Beach Hugo Torres (also the owner of the Rosarito Beach Hotel). These tourism leaders will be guests on the Les Kincaid Wines Du Jour radio show at the El Segundo Sol restaurant on May 3. The event provides an opportunity for the public to meet these tourism leaders, learn more about Baja California, and taste some of Mexico's finest tequila and cuisine.

Other guests on the radio program include Enrique Ramos and Danielle Griffin from the El Caudillo Tequila distillery, and Executive Chef Terry Lynch from El Segundo Sol. Roberto Lopez, the P.R. and Communications Director for Baja California Secretary of Tourism, will also be in attendance.

Radio show attendees will taste three tequilas: Blanco, Reposado, and Anejo. These upscale tequilas will be paired with three exciting cuisine selections prepared by Executive Chef Terry Lynch. Les Kincaid will discuss each of the tequilas, as well as what tequila is and how to enjoy it the very best way. Tequila is more than shots or margaritas, and guests will learn about these excellent tequilas from the distillery experts on the show. The executive chef will also share his secrets for pairing fine tequila with delicious Mexican cuisine. Door prizes will be awarded at the end of the program.

Les Kincaid will also interview the visiting tourism leaders and discuss Baja California tourist attractions, the Guadalupe Valley (the Napa Valley of Baja California), gastronomy, and other tourism topics. Secretary Tintos states, "Many Americans do not realize that Baja California is a wonderful vacation destination, with a mild Mediterranean climate, spectacular sandy beaches, world-class wines, friendly people, and stunning resorts." Baja California annually hosts over 300 events that attract thousands of visitors from around the world. As Secretary Tintos notes, "Baja California is just down the road from Nevada, which makes it a perfect weekend getaway."

The tequila radio show will be held at the El Segundo Sol Mexican restaurant, located at 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. South (northeast corner of the Fashion Show Mall). The restaurant is at street level, directly across from the Wynn Las Vegas resort. The radio program starts promptly at 7:00 PM and ends promptly at 8:00 PM. Guests are asked to arrive by 6:30 PM, since this is a live broadcast. Reservations for the radio program can be made at:
