I went to google earth and the sat photos around San Felipe are showing 2003 for the year, should I be doing something different to see the newer ones? JH:?:

bajamedic,

You must have set google earth to show the map as it was in 2003.

On the bottom left there is a small icon of a clock with a green arrow above it. If you click on that you get the object on the upper left. By dragging the arrow you can get a snapshot of San Flipe as it was between 2003 and 2009.

Sorry for the quality of the image I'm aout to post.

Yes indeed, 2010 is newer than 2002... but it is 2012 now. I have uses Google Earth for awhile... specially looking at the region near Gonzaga for mapping the El Camino Real mission road... Anyway, just now looking at Alfonsina's and the previous satellite imagery for that area was 2005.

Could it be you were looking at a saved Google file from 2002 and not the current web site? In either case, you are seeing the newest images now... and that is great. The paved road is past Puertecitos in the newest images and the new road work is past Huerfanito.
