Baja Blues Fest in Rosarito, Aug. 24, 25 & 26
Helping Kids with The Blues!
"Rosarito Beach Blues - do the Dog Days of summer get you down? Have you been hoping to hear some Blues by the beach? There's no need to fear - help
is on the way! We'll do our best to bring good cheer with the 1st Annual International Baja Blues Fest at the world famous Rosarito Beach Hotel, Aug.
24, 25, 26th.
From the very beginning, the Baja Blues Fest was envisioned as an exciting international event that would inspire Rosarito Beach and neighboring
communities to come together in a joyous way to increase recognition of the needs of our local children's charities.
Our first annual Baja Blues Fest will be hosted by the Rosarito Beach Hotel in Rosarito, August 25th of this year. Gates open at 9:30 and the music
plays all day with 7 bands - 6 from southern California have already committed! Come and spend the day with the blues bands, great food and drink,
raffles, artists, photographers, vendors with some really interesting items, a Farmer's Market, friends, family and neighbors.
Speaking of friends, John and Rachel Pack, founders of the Baja Good Life Club, are doing the "Baja Walk", which began May 12 in San Felipe, Baja
California and will continue during the summer to finish on or before August 20, 2012 in Rosarito Beach where they will MC the Baja Blues Fest. Their
goal is to raise attention and funds to assist various Baja charity groups, specifically those that provide support to children, animals and
environmental causes.
The Baja Blues Fest Organization, a nonprofit 501(c)3, is being established to oversee the Baja Blues Fest and the distribution of proceeds to local
children's charities in the Rosarito area.
This year we are raising funds for:
BECA
Baja Scholarship Foundation
The Boys and Girls Club of Rosarito
La Mision Childrens Fund(who supports many smaller organizations and a food bank)
Los Angelitos Orphanage (22 children)
Friends of the Library - Children's Reading Program
If you are an artist or have something terrific to sell at an event like this, we are accepting applications for a booth and would love to hear from
you.
We are also looking for Sponsors who might like to get involved. We have some great sponsor plans including TV and Radio advertising, VIP tickets and
T-shirts. Check it out!
This would be a great time to plan a great weekend! We are having a pre-party on Friday night, an all-day event on Saturday and a jam session on
Sunday. The hotels in town are offering great get-away packages including a Fast Pass to help you get, maybe yourself, or your friends and family back
across the border a little quicker!
Go to www.bajabluesfest.com for further information on how to become a sponsor, vendor, volunteer or ticket holder. We know you'll have a rockin' good
time!
Your support is greatly appreciated!"
