Concerning a Current Discussion
I decided to post separaterly, so as not to be seen as being with one side or the other on this.
The discussion going on here bring back something that was told to me by a person with a great deal of insight into people, imho.
There is a saying that goes along the line that when a person first experiences an intense enlightenment (be it religion or anything else soul
awakening/changing), they should be locked away from people for at least 6 months.
The premise for this is two part,
-the first part is that the person is so overcome with their belief (it does not have to be religion) that no matter what is said or done it will not
be enough to satisfy that person.
-the second part of the premise is that after 6 months the person will be more tolerant of others, have refined settled some of the more emotional
aspects of their awakening and therefore others will be more tolerant of him/her and the person will be then able to accomplish more of their goal(s).
I also believe that I have been some where similar to where JR is now, though mine was helping with an indigenous tribe, so I will give my little
speal about it.
JR go immerse yourself with like minded people and after a while, come back to those that you feel disagree with you and try again with the insight of
distance and the wisdom of comtemplation.
To all those that find his thoughts too rough, consider the intensity of the awakening/enlightenment and contemplate them again at your own leasure.
I am sure that in 6 months or what ever time is appropiate this discussion will resume and hopefully more benefits will be received by all of the
participants.

Unfortunately,
it started when I was 7 when I moved from the humanity of the Berkshires to the uh, whatever of s. cal.
Fortunately I was a surfer and swimmer to keep my mind occupied.
Then, the more I saw of the world, the more I realized that we all start out alike but humanity isn't allowed because of political bs and greed.
And now I realize that you are not supposed to talk about it in many circles.
Ignorance is bliss ? We shall see .

I don't think that you are nt suppose to talk it so much, as the degree of emotion that one puts into an argument or belief.
I think that the degree of emotion/commitment is so great that it is scary to people that don't have it or share it, perhaps that is what youare
seeing feeling.
In my case, I learned some pretty insightful lessons about the people that I was trying to help as well as those I sought help from.
Which is why I turned from giving/getting things for people to bartering with the people, thou the exchange does not need to be anywhere equal in
value, it is the concept that is important. Also, the self concept that the people have is important.
I saw this in one of your earlier post, when you suggest that people do this type of bartering, taking fish to trade with the mountain people.
While you may of had this since age 7, these things have a way of becoming more prominent at times, at least that was what happened in my case.
One of the more enlightened things I learned was:
"just because you joined them, doesn't mean that they have joined you".
I am willing to share what I learned if you are interested, perhaps some of it will be helpful to your situation.

JR,
Here is the short version:
Informal walking tours worked well (kids can do this with litle training) but going past this was much more difficult, so I pretty much left it here,
perhaps this will develop into something more.
On developing local artesians, go for recruiting patrons that are knowledgeable, patient and willing to spent time with the artesain and willing to
either partially or fully support the artesian and work on developing the state side aspect of this: setting up buyers, shows, exhibits, etc.

I have been blessed with meeting and talking with JR on more than one occasion with the last meeting being a lucky happening as we both were at Keri
and Mikes Pyramid Resort this past Thursday.
I think that most of you would be very surprised by meeting with "the wild man." Nothing could be further from the truth he is soft spoken and almost
devoid of distracting mannerism such as flailing his arms or pointing. Laughter comes easily to his lips and his eyes. He listens intently and
discusses things in a very calm and friendly manner.
Unfortunately, as great as the net is for sharing information it is far to easy to misread motivations without seeing what the other person is
thinking as he talks.
Oh! Yes. He does sorta twist his mustache as he makes an important point.
