Hola - new member

Not sure if this is proper forum etiquette, but here goes:

I've been lurking here for awhile, and decided it was time to start participating. First trip to baja in the late 80's, mostly all in the first 15 years for pre-running and racing the 500 and mil. Hoping to buy a place in baja the next few years, so trips these days are more about having fun and looking at as many different places rather than racing. Maybe a 1000 or three left in me, but exploring with the family has been a blast.

Thanks,
Ron S.

Hi Ron, welcome to the community. As in all communities, there are many different .... um.... people/customs/ideas, etc. But enjoy, we don't bite. (well, not literally anyhow).

If you make it down Todos Santos way, let us Nomads know and the ones here I am sure will welcome you to the area. I will at least.

Bienvenidos!

Not sure if this is proper forum etiquette, but here goes:

Ignore the above lack of civility Racingron. I for one shave and put on a clean suit everymorning before opening up this forum. My keyboard is sanitized and my back is always in the correct posture for composing responses to those postings that merit my enlightening responses.

Of course you will find as I have, after 15 minutes of reviewing most of the compositions written in my absence, a long hot shower with a stiff brush and a container of comet will remove that slip in the mud pit dirtiness that causes you to squirm and wonder why you bother with most of these people anyways.

Then again, stay around long enough and someones bound to hand you a beer.

Lurkers Rule! After sitting in the shadows I couldn't miss out on the fun. I'm sure you will enjoy sharing your stories of Baja and our responses. Welcome. RSM? Running Springs Mountain?? What areas of Baja have already caught your eye? Enjoy. Tio

He must be immersed in Off Topic. Advice: Don't go there.

That's a tricky question....I love to share the knowledge I've gained over the years and help share the fun and adventure  (www.desertraceschool.com). I also have the knowledge that it can cost a ton to go racing on a competitive level

Probably could be talking about many hobbies I suppose...
