TORTA AZTECA
The other day some of my students told me about this Mexican dish called torta azteca...they said it was the Mexican version of lasagna...so one of
the students said his mom could make me one..she did and wow. It is absolutely delcicous ! If you can get someone to make one for you, you will not
be disappointed. Layer upon layer of tortilla, sauces, corn kernels and in this case, shredded chicken.
This is now going to be added to our dinners for $10 to promote the going to London project. so you can eat it right here in la bocana !

looks yummy...I wonder if it is the same as the ladies make here called Tamal Azteca...looks like it...kinda like a big tamale without the wrapping.

Shari: ours was not really like a tamale....hard to explain but it was really good. I will ask around to see if someone here makes the TAMAL AZTECA
soI can try one.
Willardguy: I thought we were being creative when we termed it the Mexican Lasagna, but it looks like someone beat us to it. That recipe sounds great.
Interesting that it calls for flour tortillas, the one we got had corn tortillas.
