Weird weather for July

When we left the beach at 10am, our car thermometer read 69.

I am not complaining, trust me on that!

The earth is undergoing a periodic climate change. Carbon emissions can't help but make it worse. Mainland indigenas have stories of pre-columbian seasons when storms would push sea water five kilometers onto the plains of Sinaloa and Sonora. I cannot imagine this being done by anything but a strong, and immense Category 5 hurricane. The primitive indigena of Baja California Sur would all but be made extinct by such storms, then in the aftermath, the profusion of pitahaya and other edibles would allow them to reproduce and repopulate rapidly.

It's going to get radical if all the ice cap studies in the Arctic prove to be correct. Personally my opinion is that the climate is going to lapse into another ice age. But spikes of heat and drought lay ahead. It's going to be a challenge for those who must endure it.

It's been the most humid May/June since we moved here in 2008.

The law of averages has a way of evening things out. I'm enjoying 25C weather at the moment. It's going to heat up, I know. But then I shall plant melons and warm weather plants.

Ah Sonora! Where I had to wait in the summer for shower water to cool down enough to avoid being scalded.

Cloudy across the Sea reaching over La Paz and Todos Santos area. Beautiful sunrise and silver/gray clouds covering the sun. Nice and cool this morning, too. Glassy 2/3ft swell! Tio
