Adios Andy Griffith

He was one of "The Good Guys". Maybe corny, maybe syrupy sweet and unrealistic drama, but I'd take one of him over ten thousand Mel Gibsons, Charlie Sheens, and other "newfangled" newly demented play actors.

Andy Griffith Was an Accomplished Actor

"Syrupy sweet" was what he was supposed to portray on the TV show.

If you want to get an idea of his range, check out this video, a clip from "A Face in the Crowd":

I was Opie but my Dad was not the understanding character of Andy Grifith! An era to remember! Lots of TV highlights today. Remember No Time for Sargeants-hope so. Goober, " Fearless" Barney Fife! The Drunk. Timeless piece of Americana. You will all be missed!! Tio
