Try bring four boys into your home that:
Have never lived with a family
Do not speak your language
Have no concept of Mom and Dad

And loving them and making them, over a period of time, your family.

Go ahead, give it a rip, it is the most meaningful, satisfying and frustrating thing you will ever do.

But, if nothing ventured, nothing gained....

Every time I see this thread up on top, with a new reply, I'm hoping to read news on the family. I too am concerned about the children.

And every time, we're disappointed, Paulina.

I keep looking to see if there is a great lesson in human nature out on Cono.

Were good samaritans taken advantage of?
Was this the story of a man on the lam who was endangering his family?
Was the family being coerced to stay?
Did mother nature intercede in the form of a hurricane?

My rather cynical response on the other thread notwithstanding, I am curious about the ending to this human drama.

It's a dreary, gray day over here. I'm bored.

Silly me, I was just hoping that Santa Claus would know where to find the children.

I just posted on Baja Bush Pilots asking anyone flying south to have a look down along the Punta Cono section of coast and see if the boat or people are still around.I have to make a quick trip to Cabo next week and will look myself if nothing is reported.

Sounds like wild animals here.....

To the tough speaking BN's here that are so anti help to your fellow American:

Your statements about welfare is totally off base. To say that all folks that are in line for food, at the Salvation Army.......in line for help at a local Govt office.......in line at the church's food closet.......that all of these folks are free loaders. Many retorts here, used the definition in their retorts....all.
Get off your high and almighty azzes! You really think that all folks don't deserve help? Let McFez give you a few examples of those in need, and are NOT freeloaders:

Children (innocent from idiot parents life styles)
War disabled.
Mentally challenged.
Temporally homeless (from loss of job or other monetary crises)
Natural disaster (hey...isn't that happening in jersey right now?)
Domestic violence victims
That was short list.......

I suggest before anyone here starts beating their chest and doing the ol' huffing and puffing stance about the welfare recipients getting a free ride....get your facts right.

No no......not all at the welfare department......are bums. Some just cant get 3 meals a day.

My brother, an oddly enough conservative leaning person, works at a county social services----he says sure, there's the repeat offenders but most of the folks he's dealing with have avoided going for help until they're so desperate they have no other choice. That, and they want to get OFF the help as soon as they can. So McFez is right about painting a brought brush about these things---I mean it sounds good on the radio spins but it ain't all true.

Now back to our regularly scheduled program of Gilligan's Island.....wonder if they managed to make a radio antenna out of an Ocotillo

go mcfez!

Any professed lover of Mexico who cannot stand the thought of needy children is a curious being indeed. To me, it's the children, forget the adults, they have the ability to take care of themselves. "How is Santa ever going to find us?" becomes unhumorous when you realize it's true. Food, shelter, health, clothes, and toys for starters, Education and love from the parents. Myself I don't care to see silent tears Christmas morning.

How about moving the "Humanitarian of the Year" contest to another thread? This thread has departed from an effort to help and find the outcome of ship wrecked family to a self promoting "who is the most concerned" according to the latest self promoter.

Way back when - at the beginning of this thread, someone was talking to Grandma in the states by phone.

Maybe they could check in with her again and see is she has any idea where they are. . . .

Thank you Señor Mcfez. Why some here are wound so tightly is beyond me, I simply posted that Bajarunner's comment like that of then Vice Pres Bush might be seen as insensitive. And no my head is not in my azz, but perhaps you should consider some meds for your anger. Me personally I have suffered from PTSD for quite some time now, but have found the meds to help. I'm sorry if I offended you but I'm not here to fight, I allready did my fighting and now i'm simply trying to get back on my feet. Have a good day sir.
