New Pedestrian Border Crossing

Crossing from San Ysidro to Tijuana yesterday (Sept 27) and they have closed the west side pedestrian sidewalk. You now have to cross over the bridge to the east side and walk behind McDonald's for the new crossing. I am not sure if this is temporary or permanent, but a lot of people were confused.
