Camping/visiting baja sur this December

Nomads
I know I have read about many great trips over the years but now I can't seem to find the threads of the ones that I want. We have a second home in Rosarito area so spend a significant amount of time in Mexico, but I am ready to see the whole peninsula.

Husband, labrador and I are going to travel south starting Decemeber 21 in our Lance Camper. His interests are surf and beaches and biking, mine are scenic views, hiking, biking and great meals. Desi (lab) want beaches. My only request is that we stay in hotels every couple days so I can have a long hot shower, other than that I love our camper. I do have to be back in San Diego on January 5th as I teach. SO I think I will fly home from Cabo, husband will drive home alone or hopefully a friend will fly down and they will do the return trip.

So... Any suggustions of places to go, stay eat, surf. I have two weeks to get to Cabo and want to see as much as possible. I have only been south as far as San Quienten from San Diego and then the furthest North being La Paz from Cabo.

How about Baja Blanca's place in December?? any chance of seeing whales?? We have a family member at scorpion bay so will be considering that as a destination.

If any previous thread comes to mind please let me know. I would really appreciate any input into this trip.
Thanks for your help
