Now that the price of gasoline is supposed to be "floating" based on "market conditions", has the price of gasoline actually gone down in any month since it was cut loose? Or is it still trying to reach a price based on "market conditions".

I wonder if the PRI will begin to try and support prices again. I imagine it would be a very popular move with the average Mexican.

With fuel so expensive, and the minimum wage set at 62.33 Pesos ($4.60 American) how are people supposed to be able to purchase fuel so they can go to work or just go out and spend money and get the economy going ?? I think that once we stabilize the price of fuel, our economy and that of so many other countries will bounce back.

Interesting Tijuana was included as it is in the border zone and you say it was the same as the others?
Maybe they ended that deal?

That's about $3.19/gallon for diesel at current exchange rate of 12.81.I paid $2.76/gallon for diesel in Mulege and Tecate last January. Pretty hefty increase in a year. ...the lowest diesel price I've seen in AZ is $3.59 at a Fry's in Tucson.

Just apples and apples John. Everyone else was doing the liter to gallon and peso to dollar conversion and arriving at $3.17
