I undersand the permit office has moved from just south of Sonoyta, Sonora to???where???

Pretty sure it's now at the big new inspection station near Caborca, if you're talking about the refundable bond permit.

If you're talking the All of Mexico or the Sonora only permit, then its at K98, south of Empalme.

I thought the refundable permit WAS for all of Mexico. I have used it to Chihuahua, Sinaloa, and Nayarit. Maybe I had the wrong one? I was checked at Yecora on Mex 16 on the way to Copper Canyon, but I was still in Sonora.
