Heap of Bones

Read my pal Steve's new book on your Kindle. Heap of Bones is all about an ex-pat's life down here on the east cape. This is a great read for anyone who lives here or has ever considered it, or for armchair or regular travelers to Baja.

Steve Sorensen really captures the feeling in his chronicle of a year in the life. Check it out.

A book? Not me. I always thought there was a book in our adventures building and settling down here, but I don't have the talent or persistence to sit and write it.

Steve, on the other hand, is a wonderful writer who has nailed it. Funny, all that time we would sit out there in the water over the past few years "talking story," Steve was really listening. So even some of my, shall I say, more interesting experiences ended up in the book.

I look forward to seeing some reviews.

Based on this link, I ordered the book for my Kindle the other day. I've just started, about 5%, but it's very entertaining. I think I will really enjoy it. I was pleased that his home is in, and I hope the story revolves around Zacatitos in the East Cape. I just discovered this little place last spring and will be going back in a couple weeks. I always enjoy visiting a place that I have images created from a book or movie. Maybe I'll run in to Steve at Zacs!

Indeed you may. He lives not far from Zacs Bar and Grill. One of our favorite hangouts.

Glad you bought the book. I'm sure you will enjoy it. Tom

I'm looking to get in touch with Steve. Working on a book of short stories and hoping that he'd be interested in contributing a story or two.

If anyone knows him, could you pass along my info?
