Webcam and Hughes

I'm hoping to set-up my Hughesnet system with a webcam to upload images to a website that I can view remotely.

Anyone succeed in getting it to work?

I know there are tons of people who have tried and failed to make this work.

So, I am not an expert at this, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, so you are in luck!

The issues you will have is latency.

When you use Hughes to transmit and receive data, physics starts to play a roll.

The amount of time it takes to send the signal down and back up is longer than most devices, that are 2 way, like.

If the device takes to long to get the feedback that the data has not made a complete cycle, it will normally think there is a disconnect and stop working, and then startup again once it re syncs.

I have a camera on my house that is connected to my Telnor WiMax in San Felipe and it works great, but prior to that I had Hughes, through my neighbor, and it was awful. Also, due to Hughes' daily download limits, it can really suck up your bits.
