C Franz got me started with Mex, picked up his book
in '81 or so, provided foundation/inspiration to explore
most of Mexico, Guatemala, gracias. On second thought,
I don't know whether to blame him or credit him

The People's Guide to Mexico

Was one of the books that I took with me when we moved to Baja. (The others, The Moon Guide, two of Diana Kennedy's cookbooks, two of Rick Bayless' cookbooks and one of Greg Nieman's books, the title I can't remember because I lent it out to someone and it wasn't returned.)

I was very inspired by Karl's vivid writing and sense of humor. He helped me to understand and embrace the Mexican culture.

—Mark Twain

\"La vida es dura, el corazon es puro, y cantamos hasta la madrugada.” (Life is hard, the heart is pure and we sing until dawn.)
—Kirsty MacColl, Mambo de la Luna

\"Alea iacta est.\"
—Julius Caesar

Their writing was inspiring and funny for sure (in the day). They aren´t so inspiring in person. Their kids even less.

Now John and Eve Muir were a different story.

Lots of stuff you can't run on an Apple product. They want you to buy and use their apps only.

My Mac runs Windows better than my PC, but I have not had to use Windows for anything in a long time. Sorry for going OT.
