Words and grammar matter. How about "Nothing is too good for him". Does that mean he deserves the best or he deserves less than nothing?

regarding hurricanes this year

I, for one, hope they're not back-to-back; its 'way too early for this.

Looks like the SOC is 4 to 6° F warmer than it should be right now and the whole Southern Pacific is about 7.5° F warmer. Looks good for wet and early.

You'll be glad to hear Nomads rank higher than TV news men/women when it comes to language. Some news speak:

1. sorta, kinda
2. unbelievable! (would news people show you what you should not believe?)
3. "Try AND...." They NEVER say "Try to..."
4. Retract back, continue on
5. None of them can say the word for mounted soldiers -- they all say "Calvary" which is a mountain mentioned in the bible.

There are hundreds more and you see and hear them every time you watch the news. Uncountable misuses of the English language.

There is a lot of distance between there and back. And once committed to go there, why would you then go back? If everyone did that you would have to say they're back!

Hurricanes sometimes do that.I am not sure that hurricanes say those exact words on arrival, but they definitely make a statement! :wow:

Uh...What was the question?
