perfect Baja weekend

Had some friends come down to Northern Baja for the wine festival.

Started off with a spectacular light show thanks to the red tide. Sat at beach and drank a 2007 bottle of Pride. Our guests are serious food and wine people who spend a lot of time and money in Napa and Sonama on wine and food. They were skeptical of the Mexican wines but left believers especially with the food. One of the highlights was after a few tasting at some of our favorite wineries (Tres Valleys, and Garza) we made our way to Moger and had a plate of oysters and a bottle of slightly chilled red wine at Deckman's (Cabo fame) Highly recommend a stop there, they are going to be there until October this year. Next day we stopped at our absolute favorite place and got a few bottles at Vinistera We were very happy to see our guests pick up a few bottles also.

biggest surprise of all, left to head back to San Diego at 1:00 We had our guests leave their car at lot in Otay as I had planned on dropping them off in pedestrian line and I was going to cross with Sentri. But... almost no one in the regular line. 35 minutes to cross in regular line on a Sunday unheard of.

these happy people are already looking into a Sentri card and planning a return visit.
