Joy of a Small Town Fair
The Tri-County Fair was this weekend in Bishop. Nothing in the way of special photos, but just a few snapshots of a few things that we think make
small town fairs special --- I don't miss the Los Angeles County Fair that I grew up attending!
Simple vegetable displays.
Got to love her garden at that elevation!
Well, the swamp coolers don't work so well with the unusual humidity we have had, but it was prize winner before the wilt
This art display immediately made me think about a certain nomad who has a home in Bahia de Los Angeles. I just knew she would like it.
Our ABSOLUTE favorite art work that won a first place prize. How often do you see the under 5 years old category!
A couple of adult art work that really caught our eyes.
And what is a fair without this guy checking out the people.
It was fun, and we are so happy to see Labor Day come and go, as the flatlanders head on home --- what a lot of traffic!

Oh, I like the warm tones in the first few images. They feel so right for that subject.

Thanks --- glad some of you enjoyed seeing these. And at least for now, we do not intend to become flatlanders again --- but one never knows.

Thank you --- a fun time. And yes Mule Days is a good time. For one thing, it is interesting to see the different sizes of mules.
Lots of activities that include the young people and that is always a good thing.

"Flat-landers"-----------------that's great, Diane. My Uncle who spent most of
his life in Owens Valley, called them "Bush-apes"------all said in good fun!!! He was referring to the 'small stream fishermen' who were always
appearing out of the bushes on his land chasing the allusive trout.
Great shots, Diane!!!
