BLACK BREAD in B.A.? We'll See Next Week

I asked the Bimbobero today if he could bring BLACK BREAD. At first he thought pan integrado. No. Then multigrano. No. I said NEGRO. He said he could bring some. Next week.

Now if Lalalalalalalalalalalalala brings mentequilla de charola which is genuine european style butter made in Uruguay, we're talking sandwich time. Ham and Mennonite, on black bread dusted with Dill.

If Bajacalifornianos make good corn tortillas, then I'm an Egyptian. And "regular" Pan Bimbo is so bad I can't make it turn green even after a month hiding in the refrigerator. Seagulls won't touch it. I'd bet a carp would reject it.

Peninsulares are not bean eaters except for frijols de pinto. The black beans here could be used for cannon grapeshot. Especially after being cooked. Comino in the beans? They look at me with horror. Gad it's as nauseating a thought as topping strawberries with cream.

Ahhh, Baja! The Other White Meat...
