Bodie with a bit of Snow
When one is in this area, this is not to be missed. With the early snow, we and everyone else in this area who owns a camera headed up to Bodie. We
hoped for more snow, but we arrived later than we wanted because of some appointments and the snow was melting at warp speed. BTW-- we found we
prefer the road from the north side of Mono Lake to the main road. It is more dirt road, but there is no traffic and it is great.

Snow is just great and we hope to be able to be there with more snow.

A picture I like of a broken tool -- one that John thinks is nonsense . But I am the one posting. 
While we have many more, this is enough and like so often, it needs to end with a dog picture

Oh Diane, these are spectacular! I know I might have said the pics you took of the "scenes" in the tree trunks were my favorite but now these are!
Especially the second one, you can FEEL movement in that picture! And what a perfect last picture with your cute dog in the dwelling, seriously sooo

Oddly, my favorite photo in this collection is the one of the broken tool. I'm taken by the blue hue of natural lighting and the quirky, asymmetry of
geometry the figure takes in your framing-- what the heck is it, btw.
My other favorite picture is of Mr. Tommy in his new doggie digs!

Thank you, I am really pleased to see that someone else likes and sees what I saw with that picture. itI have no idea what it was, I just liked it.

Oh, I agree. The second one rocks. It has a lot of energy. The sagebrush complements the clouds real well, adding to the tension.
The last one adds humor but is also a very nice composition, actually.
It must have been very cold. On the other hand, you probably had fewer photographers to deal with.

Igor, John and I thank you. I also liked the second one in color.
It was not too cold as the sun was bright and melting the snow RAPIDLY. It was quite slushy and muddy. We wanted to get there earlier, but that was
not possible. I don't know about there being fewer photographers because it looked like someone yelled SNOW and all camera owners came running.
Also, there were a lot of Europeans. This time of year, there are always a lot of Germans, Dutch, Danes and this year it seems we have heard more
French than in the past. Walking up to TJ lake in Mammoth the other day, we met a really cute young couple from Bavaria who were scared to death
because of all the bear warning signs. They wanted to know how many hikers were attacked by bears. They said the bears are gone in Bavaria except
one showed up last year and it was on the news every night until they killed it.
