RIP Curtis Ziegler

Still in shock...we waited and waited for Curtis and his wife to show up for our dinner date tonight.
I got home and checked Facebook to find out he died unexpectedly Thursday night. Not sure what time but he and I chatted about 8pm.

You will be missed my friend....

This is very sad and so sudden. I enjoyed his fb posts, his love of his family, fishing and baja. My sincere condolences to Curtis' loved ones. I'm so sorry for your loss.

WTF? he just asked me to take a crankcase to his buddy in Vizcaino the other day.

I'll get a wave in his memory next time down that dusty road......

Unbelievable..... So sad to read this! Curt and I fished together in Baja several times. My condolences to Aimee and the kids. Heading south right now, I'll toast him a Pacifico at one of his favorite places later today....

This is real shock. Many times Curt stayed with me in Abreojos. We would fish and ride quads. We would talk of Escondido where my father grew up and how it has changed, ohhh Curt. RIP. You were way too young for this.

the only time i ever met Curt, Bia and i were headed to Baja and we stopped in at my local gas station at around 4:30am to air up the tires on the pop up trailer. a white tundra was fueling up and had boards and a quad in back. i did a double take and walked over and started laughing out loud. i said, "you must be Curt!"

of all the out of the way places to run into him. i'd only seen his pics on Nomad so it was so random. another 2 minutes and who knows?
