I really don't want to get political on this thread as it stands for something far more important than what I am about to say.
A very touching video that I think EVERY politician should watch before they send our youth to fight any war or conflict. It just might give them some
thought of what they are doing before sending our finest into harms way.

Yes, people are encouraged to show respect for those who lost their lives in combat.
It is saddening that so many lost their lives for the right cause....and for the less justifiable causes.
The dead deserve our respect.....maybe the politicians don't. Two different issues that collide.

I was a young kid of 19 and had NO IDEA what was going on when the shipped my butt to Vietnam. Now that I'm retired, this will be the first Veterans
Day that I don't have to work. I may have to find my DD214 and get treated to a free meal at a restaurant!
On topic - I took a 2 week in-country R&R and rode convoy support in the highlands with the 173rd.
