O-Negative Bllood Needed In La Paz Today (urgent)

A good friend of mine, Gunther Ballier, from Los Barriles is in Amerimed hospital in San Jose del Cabo and is in dire need of O-negative blood. People can donate at Amerimed 01624 105.85.00 or the General Hospital in San Jose.

More Info

Please if you can share this: “O Negative”
To be given in La Paz at 8am on Saturday 12/28. The address is:

Centro Estatal de La Transfusion Sanguinea
Nicolas Bravo 1010 esquina Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez
Torre anexa al Antiguo Hospital Salvatierra
Tel. 612-12-54011 or 612-122-0646

Must fast for 8 hours before donating, bring photo ID.

He has been bleeding internally and almost bled out, he came very close to dying on the way to the Hospital. They can’t do any tests until he receives blood as he only has 5 hemoglobins of blood in his system, normal is 16 or more. This is very urgent, if he doesn’t get blood he may die. He is stable right now and in intensive care, but urgently needs blood. I only have one person committed to donating tomorrow morning and we need more.

Please share if you are able.

Thank you,
Susan

We just had the same situation over here with a resident who needed that blood type; internal bleeding and everything. It did not turn out well.

I hope people will give if they have this type.

Apparently, O-negative is fairly rare. If anyone in BCS reading this has this blood type, your donation could mean the difference between life and death for my friend.

I'm so sorry- I have o- blood type and regularly donate in the states as I am what is referred to as the universal donor- but here in MX they won't let me donate as I'm over 65. It's stupid as I'm in good health and donate in the states. Let me know if they will give some kind of waiver in emergencies. Norm

This is URGENT: Need “O Negative” for Gunther
Donors can donate at this address starting at 8am TODAY! (the earlier the better, because the blood has to be processed and then driven to the hospital in San Jose)
Centro Estatal de La Transfusion Sanguinea
Nicoles Bravo 1010 esquina Josefe Ortiz de Dominquez
Torre anexa al Antiguo Hospital Salvatierra Tel. 612-12-54011 or 612-122-0646
You can contact Char Wenger at East Cape Clinic if you have any questions re: blood donations. 624-124-8203 Thank you, Susan (Susan is Gunther's wife)

Thank you Norm. He is doing better after a couple of transfusions and is out of intensive care, but still needs more blood.
