Dave on CBS Sunday Morning
How bout that? Missed meeting you last week and there you are in my living room this morning. Interesting show, much pause for reflection. I forgot
exactly which percentages applied to what as far as the gringo population of Rosarito or "the gold coast". I seem to recall a third, 44% and 70%. I
think the last applied to "property owners" on the beach. Interesting, I live inside the borders of the United States in a town where we are less
than 1% of the population.
Anyway, before the pro/con crapstorm over gringo RE development in Mexico starts on this board, it was a pleasure to see you and Joanne on the telly.
I hope you're open next time.

San Luis, AZ, smackdab on the border. Most gabas in Yuma County live in Yuma or an unincorporated subdivision called the Foothills. The term "below
32nd street" refers to a division wherein the population shifts to overwhelmingly hispanic. There are maybe a couple dozen anglos around the golf
course in Somerton, but in San Luis, pop. 20,000, I only know of about half a dozen others, so it's probably less than .001%. Of course I',m
excluding U.S. born Latinos and naturalized citizens. While many, but still a minority, of the kids are born here, the overwhelming majority of San
Luisinos are Mexican born and the overwhelming majority of them are from just across the line in San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora. You could accurately
say it's a town of all immigrants.
P.S., I love it here!

Ted, you need to spend some more time here on Nomad because you will get some great info. and find more guests for your radio show.
'Dave' runs the Nuevo York Deli located in front of the New Port Hotel, just south of the Puerto Nuevo entrance. Great pastrami! I will be happy to
take you there.

The name of the show was "Sunday Morning", the one that used to be hosted by Chas. Kuralt, now by his clone.

Dave on CBS
David, I've eaten at Nuevo York Deli and they do make a great sandwich. I just didn't know he had his own TV show and you know I'm interested in that.
What time each sunday?

Hi Ted, I am listening to your show with Graham Mackintosh as I am reading Baja Nomad... great show... Isn't Graham just great to hear. The first
caller (Larry Hahn) met Graham at my Viva Baja #3 party, see photo. Larry's web site is http://www.bajadreams.com and he would make a good guest.
Anyway, to clarify about Dave... He owns Nuevo York Deli. According to the post above, he was interviewed for the CBS show... Dave doesn't have a TV
show (yet)!
