Found some books in the garage
Did some cleaning up and found in a box:
Anglers Guide to Baja California by Tom Miller 1982
Baja California by AAA 1982
The Sea of Cortez by Ray Cannon 7th Ed, 1971
That Baja Feeling by Ben Hunter 1978
Forgot I had them. Fun reading from way back then.

I guess the itch is coming back in anticipation of returning after so many years absent. I hope the wife (this time around) gets interested. Hope to
meet a few nomads that spend a lot of time down there so she can see what the real living conditions are for spending several months a year. We looked
at a condo in San Jose del Cabo 15 years ago that was right on the beach ( and I mean we walked out the door to the sand). Unfortunately we decided to
pass on it.

That smallish AAA guide, with little/no advertising, just
nuts and bolts Baja info, and that was one of the few bits
of info back then, that was all one needed, plus the AAA
Map, anyone remember the Baja Explorer Mag? I think
it ran from approx. '90 to '92, maybe 10 mags or so,
I have every dog eared copy

I love picking up The Baja Feeling every once in awhile to read a couple of chapters.

Yup, Baja California by AAA, no adverts, small booklet with all my mile markers hand written inside as I made my way to LA Bay. Mine says 815 miles to
LA Bay from the San Fernando Valley.
Used to watch Ben Hunter of Baja Feeling fame on his local TV show in Los Angeles.

Please be sure to stop by and meet us! We have been living in La Bocana for 8 years and love to share our neck of the desert.
