Dec. 9: Happy Birthday Antonio ('BajaCactus')

A happy birthday wish to a good amigo and Baja Nomad, Antonio. Thanks for your assistance to Baja travelers and generosity to us all who have been fortunate to meet you and attend the first annual Baja Cultural Fiesta, last August.

On a personal note, I want to tell you that your friendship has been so appreciated. Your interest in my difficult family situation and trips across the border to visit here, were so great of you. I know you are one of the good people... honest and sincere... or as JR would say, 'human'.

Happy Birthday December 9th, Antonio!:yes::yes::yes::yes:

Mood: wait and see

While gassing up in El Rosario on the way back from the B1k, the attendant waited until I stepped out of the truck to make sure I saw the pump rolled back to zeros. I waved it off and told him not to worry about it, I already knew that this was the only honest Pemex in all of Baja.

Actually, there may be two. While getting a busted motor mount fixed in San Ignacio a week earlier, I struck up a conversation with the mechanic who informed me that the Pemexes there, in Guerrero Negro and Villa Jesus Maria were all owned by the same P-nche ladron who owns the most infamous one in Santa Rosalia. He mentioned that the ones in Vizcaino and El Rosario were the only honrados he knew of, the rest were all ratas, but none as descarados as the Sta. Rosalia chain.

Thanks, BC, for giving us at least one safe haven on the peninsula.:yes:

THANKS!!!

Thank you everyone...!!!

It feels very warm in the heart having so many friends across Baja and the States thinking in Pompano and myself in this day....:D

My best wishes to all of you as well....

And Pompano... what do you say if next year you invite all of us to have some Banana Cream Pie in your home, in front of the beach, in a sunny and warm Baja afternoon... I would be willing to sacrifice my party here in cold and raining TJ just to be with you...We could even call it The Pompano's Banana Cream Pie Party...jejejeje....:D

Well.. just a thought...

Thanks again everyone!!!

A Belated Birthday Greeting

Antonio: Happy Birthday you young person you. Thanks for jumping out of your sickbed and giving us the grand tour of your new hotel. It's gonna be a roaring success.

Pompano: Happy Birthday. Don't begrudge your age, I'm a year older but feel's more like 10. I feel 62 in my body but remain around 16 in my head. Where does the time go?

I'm glad you both found us here at bajanomads. We'll be seeing you along the way soon.

Antonio/Pompano... another HAPPY belated birthday to you both... I've been working too hard, and have been missing the board - and Baja. Can't wait to get back down south! Dang, time flies by so fast. Hope to get back down between Christmas and New Years.... looking forward to it, big time.
