Epic. I love Sitka. Spent a few summers in Ketchikan working on salmon boats and in the cannery. Heading back up there next month.
Those are some big salmon you got there. I was a grader in the cannery but have lost my skills. Guessing those are Coho or Kings?
Edit: I see where you wrote KING, on the photo and the thread. Perhaps better reading skills are in order for me. The Coho was rare when I was
grading.

See if you can find Casey Phillips in Sitka. He's a retired salmon fisherman and lives on a sail boat. He spent 5 weeks in San Nicolas at the rancho
there and then time at Casa Buena and dental work with Yxchel.
He'll show you a good time!!!!

Nice Kings! Quickest way to tell. If the edge of the mouth is black it is a Chinook, if white it's a Coho. Also if there were scales all over
everything it's a Coho.

Where did leave from? Surely not baja? | We went from Port Alexander to Sitka, about 10 hours at 7kts.

Not much better than that. The way you were dressed, it looks like you don't have to worry much about icing them down.
