The value of Red Bull, his sponsor, jumped to 8.5 billion USD after his jump.

I think landing on his feet at the end was pretty amazing!

I had an interesting marketing strategy conversation with the Monster Energy drink rep on my trip this week.

Red Bull is biggest in Europe, but Monster in #1 in the US and Mexico. Supporting motor sports, athletes and events that many people are involved in vs. a single event that nobody else will ever do seems to be a strategy that works for them.

Amazing video. The wife and I were on a plane from San Diego to Baltimore that day and as we were crossing over New Mexico the pilot comes on the intercom and says if you look out the window and up you will see the 'balloon' carrying Felix. We were at 35,000 feet and he was at 90,000 and rising. Crazy guy.
