Beautiful Baja Formal Wedding Reception

The bride and groom arrived in a champagne-colored 30's Rolls Royce convertible (the long stretch one with running boards).

The one hundred-and fifty formally attired guests (the women in long gowns, mostly in jewel colors, and the men in pearl grey suits or tuxedos) received them with a standing ovation.

Guests were then seated in organized groups guided to their appointed tables.

Dinner was served at tables covered with silver lame table clothes, under the sky on a lawn overlooking the ocean.

The minute that the bride and groom were seated, the waiters were serving dinner. As soon as the bride and groom were finished, dessert was served (the wedding cake was displayed at the reception and then cut up in the kitchen) and after that, the gusts approached the couple with their congratulations.

Yes, maybe this all sounds really stiff and old school, but it was done very well with a light touch and the underlying vibe was that this was was a big group of people having a very good time while dressed up to the nines.

And, sorry, no selfies allowed.
