SURF'S UP! Here comes HERNAN... and THERE GOES HERNAN...

There's four different tropical depressions in the southern express, and the newest one is Hernan. He's going to track about 500 miles south of the Peninsula paralleling it, already sent a CHUBASCO (newly acquired term) northward towards Todos Santos tonight, and although not a storm threat, I would dare say there's going to be some surf the whole lower half of Baja for the next week. Wax your boards, and Kowabunga Dudes and Dudettes!
:wow:

Looks like Hernan is gonna be Cat 1 by tomorrow, first outer band brushing West Cape. It's gonna stay about 500 miles out, but El Conejo should be seeing some surf. Any reports?

...AND THERE GOES HERNAN....

Hernan, now a Cat 1. Cool satellite loop, Huracan Hernan southwest of Baja, and one kewl Chubasco southeast of the Cape with a great blossom.

From sizzle to fizzle, still fun to watch; what a year for east Pacific storms. FOUR tropical storms all at the same time on the equatorial beltway, and Baja still dodging all. El Niņos can be so unpredictable! Keep our fingers crossed.
