Well...it was 12.90 to one a couple of weeks back.
It doesn't really matter much to me on a day to day basis except that merchants adjust their prices on imported items depending on the exchange rate and it seems, that which goes up, rarely goes down on a readjustment.

Also....12.90 to 13.27 in such a short time is a big jump/fall.... however one wants to see it.

Gas prices go up every month. That's guaranteed.
No guarantees on Peso/Dollar values from minute to minute. :?:

and A sixth straight month of solid 200,000-plus job growth (for those who want to work) helped boost the economy as well. Unfortunately, this rise in the value of the dollar will hurt those Mexicans who purchase US goods and services.

For crying out loud, the difference between 12.8 and 13.27 is about THREE CENTS ON THE DOLLAR.

Somebody should pass out some Kool-Aid. Jayzus, people.

Most definitely helps those with dollars that spend or send money in/to Mexico. In the short term anyway.

That's 3%. I think that's significant.

In your case, insignificant...In a macro sense, 3 % is huge.

Shouldn't affect the sender whatsoever. Earn dollars...send dollars. I doubt they would involve their needy recipient with micro-managing the interchange.

In layman's terms, what I will save in a typical month of spending will buy half the beer I will drink in that month. That is significant.

Indeed it is. That's app .2% per day or a rate of app 73% per year.
Way way too early for long term planning.
