Location and Name for David K

David: Many years ago someone from up North , may have been Canada came an built a fairly large size Building North of Loreto and San Bruno. It was on the Beach I think near m+Mercanieras' It was kind of strange as the people arriving in Loreto were not allowed to talk to the Locals and were transferred to the location,
i went in there a couple of times and the building was empty.
it seems as it was connected to a Group up North.

Do you have any information and is the Building still there. There was a locked Gate about a mile before the Bldg.

Thanks for your help' Skeet

Sounds like the private membership club that the Fisher family here in Punta Banda was developing along with private investors.

slightly off topic but I was approached by a gentleman today who said there is a large lot in san Bruno that is for sale at 60 thousand pesos. that is all the info I have.

I can't thank you enough David ,for all the times you have taken the time and effort to show us all the locations of places being talked about. You are a walking history book yourself!

I bet Skeet is talking about the VERY strange huge facility built on the water maybe 15 miles up the coast past El Bajo about 20 years ago. A very expensive gated high security road was blasted and paved to the "secret" site. Local rumor had it there was a child-smuggling operation going on, run by a foreigner with a Mexican wife. One day we heard there was a raid; the children (75+) were taken away in buses. The facility has remained abandoned ever since. It had multiple buildings in the complex, a common large dining hall, dormitory rooms, private house, etc.
Very odd indeed.

Go to google earth, and you can see the buildings just inside of Punta Mangles.. North of San Bruno..
The story about this place involved a cult following, and children that were spotted in Loreto back in the 80's...

Thanks Nomads.\\

I have stopped a couple of times and gone into the Bldg. There was a one time a Ford Pick up there.
I was near the House being rented in loreto and was not allowed to talk to the Youngsters, It seems as if it was equal boys and girls in their Teens.

I appreciate all the Info, I am writing it down for my Kids to read later on.

Take care and stay Happy

Thanks for the excellent maps DK.

Even though I've been in Baja many years I often read posts about places I've heard of but I'm not sure exactly where it is. The maps help to bring a story to life, maps from different time periods make it even better. Thanks again DK, I appreciate your efforts.:yes:

he said its haunted now and occasionally you will see little kids running around in the hills above the ruined house :o
