Charger fans - read this

this happened to me a few days ago while visiting the Denver area, I am not making this up:

Warning to everyone visiting Denver, do not bring up the Super Bowl. I'm at the Safeway checkout and the checker had a Bronco tshirt on so I say "weren't you guys in the Super Bowl?" Things got real quiet and tense. $37.20 for the groceries, I gave him two twenties. The change machine spit out the $.80, he hands me my receipt, that's it. I stand there with my hand out and he just stares at me. I look at him, he looks at me with a thin smile. I decide that my health and smart-a** comment was worth $2.00 and left while I could still walk. Bronco fans do not have a sense of humor.

I go up there 3-4 times a year for work. They take their football seriously. I got similar reaction when I asked at the sports apparel store if I could get a Wilson jersey. :saint::biggrin::P

I'll worry about if I'm ever a Chargers fan. Between their stupid insistence that the entire Los Angeles DMA—from San Clemente all the way to Bishop—be blacked out because they can't sell out their freaking stadium, and their unwillingness to take advantage of the NFL's relaxed rules for blackouts (85% rule), the only way I'd root for them is if they were playing the Raiders.

Fundamentalist Bronco fans. Jeeezo.......what's next? Is every car on the Denver roads from an Elway dealership?
Maybe it's the altitude.

Hey, that's a great idea. You know how LA got a second MLB team by renaming the Angels?

How about the Los Angeles Raiders of Oakland, then.
