Flowers in my yard

We have had this cactus for at least 10 years. This is the first year it has bloomed. The bloom is about a foot long from the plant

Traveler Palm

This has bloomed twice. Inside the flower are the most beautiful seeds. Black with a bright orange beard.

Judy, is the second one a type of Bird of Paradise? All are beautiful!

Yes, I think so. The flowers are not as brilliant as birds of paradise but beautiful. Hint - If you want them to continue blooming, pluck the dead ones out as they die.
I am trying to cultivate some of the seeds......Will let you know how that works
