Punta Chivato 9-21 On
For those of you that are expecting an e-mail I've taken photos and sent them but for some reason it doesn't appear they are going out.
My Ranger died today at the estuary but I was able to limp back. The estuary is still a big mess and some in 4x4 are going in and out. Very few and
some have been stuck on the PV side. Road in from the estuary is good. Photos later.
Bugs are getting bad today. You'd better bring juice for them if you're coming down.

PC side of estuary. There is about a 4' jump over the cut on the PC side where the green marker is. then take off into the desert around a mud hole
that was the road.

It did stay up but I'm sure I'll have to move it because I don't believe the high readings. I thing we had just over 12" of rain and gusts of at least
70mph.
Here's what my weather station showed. Sorry can't get the photo up
Having a lot of failures with banda ancha and mail out and photo bucket
Mam gust at 58mph and 8.6" rain

Russ. What a crazy amount of rain and wind. Hopefully it didn't all run off and some went into the groundwater.

Russ, thanks for the rain and wind estimates at Punta Chivato!
Was the wind direction out of the east mostly?

Hey buddy, nice to have you back. Looks can be deceiving, the pics this morning look like it is almost chilly. The weather station tells the truth
though.

Guero just called and said he'll work on the estuary today with the equipment that isn't committed to the hwy or Santa Rosalia. Also Paul spoke with
Chichi and was told the they pumped water yesterday. Don't know if that included Shell Beach.

Hi Again
Jeeze I love this time of year! The sky is beautiful all day and the sunrises are the best. Sorry you only get one small instant of the sun rise. I
know a lot of you are anxious to come down now. Mulege is getting cleaned up little by little as reported on the Mulege thread. Guero has started road
repairs but isn't close to working on the estuary from the few reports I've received so be ready for some 4x4 areas around it. I'm putting off my
adventure to town one more day. Maybe today the mechanic will show to fix my generator. I've been fine without AC but bed time it would really be
nice. That seems to be the hardest on me but only for a few hour until it starts to cool off.
