Military taking over La Bufadora?

I have heard that the Mexican Military is taking over La Bufadora tomorrow morning? I guess it's just the shops, does anyone else have anymore details?

I reread the post on Facebook and apparently this was supposed to happen this morning. Any Bufadorians out there that can fill us in? Evidently a Senator was supposed to intervene.

It is a nice location for an army base. I wish them luck in their invasion.

An army base would be an improvement over the tacky tourism development there now.

Who's protesting what?

Hate Gringos, why? (dumb question maybe) but why?

No military? So no Camp Blowhole?

Dennis has set up his own blockade at Camp Lomas del Mar with a gorilla decoy. I wouldn't want to mess with Dennis!!

No but I did see Tiger Woods out there swinging his golf club yelling, "Get off my Golf Course"...as for why they hate Gringos, it's simple. Gringos ask stupid questions like, " Are you kicking me out and selling the same house that I bought from you?

I can't figure out WTF Is going on over there. As usual, there are two sides to the story. One is from some angry tenants who are being threatened with eviction by the other side, an Ejido, who the courts recently ruled own the property.
Neither side's story is reliable as far as I'm concerned. These people have some angry, blind opinions.
I've been up north for the last couple of days, so I missed the anarchy that went down, machetes and clubs waving in the air, and a bloody confrontation was avoided when a prudent decision was made by the police, armed to the teeth in riot gear, and they decided to withdraw.
This is far from over, but I'll keep my distance.

No. It has nothing to do with residents in Toscano's. It has everything to do with the shop tenants at the mall.

La Bufadora

There's a lot of new barbed wire fencing along the road to keep protesters off private property and there were Police keeping the protesters from blocking the entrance to Toscanos property. some one ask why they would give the Gringos I hate you stares and the place would be nothing with out Gringos
That's not entirely true I have lived in the area for a long time and I would venture to say that as many Mexican's from Tijuana and Mexicali visit the Buf. as all of the Gringo Tour Ship Crowd.

Maybe so. The locals, Ensenada etc., come out in droves...especially on weekends. They see the place as their Disneyland. There isn't much else for them to do. Not many of them want to go out to Guadalupe Valley and sip wine with their pinky finger pointing in the air.

Tenants? Yes. All, to my knowledge.
The protestors are as well, but many of them were imported to strengthen the numbers. A viewer said they looked indigenous. If so, there's some veggies that didn't get picked around Maneadero.

Frankly I hope they eliminate the many shops that abound in the area-they are tacky and take away from the scenic beauty of the Bufadora. Also, every time I go there they try to sell me Viagra, I guess I look "in need" of a boost!
I hope the Feds. or local government take it over and turn it into a park. Is the Bufadora area part of ejido? I believe the houses across the bay are in an Ejido area.
