Mulege-Loma Azul?
For the past several years, while in Mulege, I have made my home in Loma Azul. Mulegena is my good neighbor and friend. We have heard little from her
and not much about Odiles effect on Loma Azul. I have heard that it is pretty much isolated, has no water and only sporadic power. I am worried about
my friends there. Does anyone have any more detailed info? And how did Don Chano's fare? From the few picrures I have seen, not well....Thanks

Luma Azul is very difficult too get to, as most of the road is gone. Right now a path exists thru Don Chanos and other private property.Water lines
and elec are being installed rapidly, 10 days out? Maybe sooner? Don Chanos is ok, with some flooding of the new houses near the river bed. Up and
running now.

Loma Azul had electricity restored last week and water last night. Still no telephone or internet. The two roads up the hill into Loma Azul are as
good as I have ever seen them, must have had a proper grader work on them. The "temporary" road thru Don Chano's is being worked on daily, progressed
from neighbours with shovels moving rocks to heavy equipment and dump trucks. Still not a joy to drive, but the beer truck should be able to make the
90 degree turn on to the remains of the causeway, so all is well.

I saw Mulegena at Equipales when we went there for dinner. She said everything was fine and that the recovery was working well. I thought I might
see her there on Sunday since I played music there Sunday afternoon. What a great time we all had. I guess it is a point of curiosity to see a
gringo singing Mariachi music. If I see her, I will tell her you asked about her. The streets and businesses are doing better and the cleanup
continues slowly and surely.

I too have seen Mulegena and su esposo every day or so since Odile and they are doing fine. They do have electricity now, but I'm not sure about
internet/agua yet. Water pipes out to Loma Azul were being laid out over the weekend, so there is progress. The "road" is closed a lot without notice
for construction, so I haven't been able to get out to see her as often as I have tried. But, all is fine for Loma Azul
