Come on down... Los Cabos is saturated with
military and federal police.
Just don't eat at the roadside food stands this time of year.

No issues down here. Crossed at Tecate around 9:30 with a pickup full of stuff and animals, got the green light and drove on down the road. Didn't get
the usual "wave over". Kicking back at Jardines for the evening, Loreto and a steak at Domingo's tomorrow, home for the winter on Tuesday..
Can't wait to get the boat back in the water, I hear the fish calling....

A mirror of my experience in crossing at Nogales on Friday. Got the green light with the Lance camper on back and DID NOT get waved in for an
inspection, anyway. First time that's ever happened. This was at 0630 at a crossing that opens at 0600; I think they are less likely to do a search at
the start of their shift. The searches at that time are always so cursory, it seems.
Thank God for small favors. I had three cases of wine and other assorted spirits to boot, including nine, 22 oz bottles of various craft brews. I even
managed to nab a Pliney the Elder this trip.
And a mirror on the desire to get the boat in the water. Some tuna still around.......

Drive slowly is the operative here, especially after the storms as roads are still washed out and rubble-filled -- no warning signs.
South of Loreto there's roadwork going on. Expect to stop and wait up to a half-hour for caravanning.
North of La Paz the highway is chewed up down to white dust for a number of miles. It's under major repair. Work will be going on for some time.
The desert is so darned gorgeously green and lush right now, so do slow 'way down and take it all in.

we'll start a thread trying to find your remains. Hopefully it'll go over 100 pages.
