Getting older in Baja
One of the things that affects our attraction to Baja is our physical ability to enjoy it. As we age, some of our options are reduced. The shift may
well reflect our sense of "the old days", the political /crime climate, and the financial balances...as well as other concerns.
There are external and internal dynamics influencing our views:

Back in the day, I spent time at Muertos Bay, 40 miles
southeast of La Pax, an old snowbird camping there would,
on the trip up, pick up a young Mex guy in Loreto he knew
as a bit of security on the drive. I couldn't understand his
reasoning, until I became the older guy camping. Same way
with El Dorado in San Felipe, never could understand the
attraction of a gated area, kinda of an over 55 place, not
that is is designated as such, until I became the over 55 guy

You know you're old when you start getting emails from the Urology Care Foundation.

You know your getting old when more people starting addressing you as sir.

Sancho, did you eat at the chefs place, we called him doughboy! Five ovens and a few ice chests, would call the sail boats and announce dinner!

You're getting too old for Baja when you spend the day in the camper at Laguna Manuela to avoid the wind.

You know you're getting too old for Baja when you spend more time on the internet than fishing.
Living Large in Loreto. Off-grid and happy.

We love to camp... and I never want to get to the point I can't set up camp. However, as I near 60, I am concerned, and would be miserable if I
couldn't get to Baja and have the solitude that we can only get from remote camping. The new easy-up 'Instant Tent' by Coleman sure made that part a
breeze... and the easy up sun canopy as well. Getting old sucks... I have never need a doctor until recently... hate hospitals... would rather not
have to take pills every day,,, what's this all about!?? LOL
