Weak Peso-Good for Mexico

A weak peso will make Mexican exports cheaper, thus creating more jobs. More Tequila will be sold, more tomatoes exported, more Corona beer brewed. There will be more orders for the maquiladoras to manufacture and export whatever it is they make.

A weak peso will bring in more tourists. Creating more jobs in tourism.

But it still hasn't shortened the lines coming to the states for Christmas Shopping!

A weak peso means higher prices on imported goods in Mexico, which is most everything people want. I mean...how many tortillas can a person buy just because the price is low?

I too am concerned about a weak peso. Stability is good - instability is not good. And desperate people do desperate things. Not good for us or society in general.

Mood: Move on. It is just a chapter in the past, but don't close the book- just turn the page

let's reap the benefits of having US Dollars and not worry so much...except when driving on Salsipuedes....which adequately appropriate means leave if you can.
