COMPLIMENTS OF NATALIE ANN ......NENA

Once again... Dedicated to all my nomad friends this Christmas Eve...

The Weeweechu

One beautiful December evening, Pedro and and his girlfriend Rosita were sitting on the sand in Baja. It was so romantic with a full moon. Pedro said, "Mamacita, lets play Weeweechu".

"Oh no, not now, Pedro. Lets just look at the moon," said Rosita.

"Oh c'mon baby. Let's you and me play Weeweechu. I love you and it's the perfect time," Pedro begged.

"But I wanna just hold your hand and watch the moon," said Rosita.

"Please corazoncita. Just once, play Weeweechu with me right here."

Rosita looked at Pedro and said, "OK. This one time, we'll play Weeweechu."

Pedro grabbed his guitar, began to strum it, and they both sang...........

"Weeweechu a Merry Christmas..... Weeweechu a Merry Christmas.....
Weeweechu a Merry Christmas.....and a Happy New Year."

Mil gracias Dennis for helping me with this post.

Aways back Lizard Lips posted the first Weeweechu. It stole my heart. When LL did not post it the following year I did so and have continued each year, this time with a little help from my friend ;)

And thank y'all Nomads for giving this now-mostly-lurker a year of reading and photo pleasure.

Nena

Nena, thank you so much for that wonderful and now classic Baja Christmas story. I've looked forward to it every year.

I just emailed it half-way round the world for others to enjoy.
