Very quiet on the east cape. Good for me but not for businesses. Few Cabo bound planes flying overhead. I would say "slow".

So far this has been a good season for us. Book sales have been just below normal. Sales in the book store have been brisk this week and the organic market has been close to last year.
We have had guests in our casita almost every night.

Quiet in La Paz, seems to be fewer gringos. Marinas not full, usually a waiting list. State Department warning for Baja Sur, another reported killing in Cabo last night. Stll beautiful, wonderful people, very green in the mountains.

Wonder what percentage of total Baja Tourism $ are a due to
fly down Tourists as opposed to drive down visitors?
I would think the fly down folks, with their rooms, restaurant
spending, etc. account for a very large percentage. Where
that $ goes and who benefits is another matter, it may end up in the pockets of corps. and not in the local economy, although it does provide
employment. Obviously
the small towns down 1 rely to a greater degree on vehicle travel

If indeed true in some Baja towns, it's not surprising... due to the worldwide travel warnings for all US citizens issued by our State Dept. Could be ISIS or AlQ. Radical Islam. Call it by name.

Poor France is the latest victim of terrorism...perhaps the proposed meeting of European leaders in Paris will make a difference in European-Baja tourism? It might happen if politically-correct Europe can bring themselves to call it terrorism.

actually in mulege...there's lots of foreign plated cars and trucks in town.

you can hardly park

the bank ALWAYS has a big line

Alyth and Albas (grocery stores) always have 2-3 people in front of me

the hardware store is busy all the time

comex (paint store) is doing one of its best years

there's lots of construction around too...people are spending money

it is true the caravans of motorhomes and trailers are not here anymore
but that's the rv industry all over

today the neighbor went out fishing just after 6am and returned before noon with 5 yellowtail split between 3 fisherman

it's a good year for mulege
