For Dennis

Shocking new discoveries in about Homo Sapiens in Siberia. Evidently there is a guy in Siberia who owns some property with a cave on it and his name is Denis, just one n. He will be forever famous once the whole cave has been excavated and the whole paper comes out.

The big news is that modern man lived in the cave and intermixed with other hominids who had not climbed the same ancestral tree. They were, how shall I say, procreating outside their species.

So if you're old like me you'll remember the grand search for decades for The Missing Link --- turns out our team was making missing links all over the globe for hundreds of millennia. When they are able to work all this out they may find that some of us are part Cro Magnon, some part Neanderthal -- might be like rounding up a thousand Mexican all-breed dogs and finding some of them with cat genes.

Those specimens found in the cave have been tagged with the owner's name: Denisovans.

As new findings come down we'll have our own Dennis to remind us of our new beginnings.

Ah yes, Jorge, that's an uncle. Glad he's still raising the cave roof. Glad you are as well.

Thanks for the thought.

It comes as absolutely no surprise to me that the people on this board, myself included, are part Neanderthal. Explains a lot, actually.
