Scott Burris missing in Baja (update: FOUND)

From a post on Talk Baja:

"If you've seen this van in Baja since the Norra 1000 message me. Scott Burris was chasing the race in this and has been missing since the night of the finish in Cabo."

Great to see that the dude was OK.

But I did want to make a point to Bajanomad.

I have mentioned this before to my friend Ron Hoff. There are some folks who simply feel that Facebook is not their cup of tea for a number of reasons, which I will not enumerate here.

Just wanted to mention that those of us who refuse to be enslaved by Facebook, cannot access links to there posted on Bajanomad.

Are you saying those links do not work if you click on them? They should work just like any web site link... just click an look at the photos or read the posts... no different than Baja Nomad.

What I don't care for about Facebook is finding past posts is impossible without scrolling way way back through time. That is where a forum is way more user-friendly.

I maintain a Facebook account for The Old Missions book readers and Baja mission history fans, to see more photos and data that isn't in the book, plus a personal account because that's the way many family members and friends exchange photos and opinions or jokes, etc. I don't like it all that much, but... it is the way of today.

That's what he's saying. And, it's true. Without an account and password we can't get in, the link goes to a login screen.

Now, that is news to me, nobody has reported any problem looking at http://facebook.com/oldmissions

There are many Baja places that have a Facebook page as a web site and not any other... Is it a big deal to register, like you did to join Nomad?
