Today the world lost a good one..
My father, Frank Saldana, passed away peacefully in hospice earlier today- about the same time the skies opened up and rained heaviest over our house.
He was 87 years young, surrounded by loving family til the end.
A career Marine, a loving father, a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist... He is missed, and loved, by so many.
His grandfather was awarded a land grant in the territory of Baja California after the Mexican Revolution, and he introduced me and my siblings to the
beaches of Baja at an early age. We still have many cousins in Mexicali and Ensenada.
Adios dad- we are so grateful for the lives you made possible, proud of your service, and in awe of your loving, generous, indomitable spirit.

So sorry for your loss, but thank you for sharing him with us. He sounds like a great man and that he shared Baja with you at an early age was a great
thing.

I'm very sorry for you. Losing a father is usually really tough for a son. That's because the best years of our lives are usually the first 12, when
your father is the most important person in your life.

Sorry for your loss. Like all the good ones, he was not only a father, but knew how to be a Dad. I remember one like him.
